Want to be a better teacher? Enjoy a challenge? Need some extra money? This session, taught by a National Board Certified Teacher, will familiarize participants with the benefits and rigorous process of certification. Participants will also learn about available candidate support programs, particularly the new NEA-New Mexico Jump Start initiative. From prospective candidates to those who are simply interested in learning more about the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, this overview will provide valuable insights for all attendees.
